Runcam 6 is an action camera capable of recording up to 4K video at 30fps. The camera uses a 12MP 1/2.3" sensor and features a gyro for image stabilization during recording or later via GyroFlow. It has a replaceable protective glass or ND filter. Information about the camera settings and status is displayed on a small 128x64px OLED screen. The camera can be powered by an internal battery, which can be easily removed, or via a USB-C connector, which helps save weight on small drones. Through the USB connector, the camera can also be connected to a flight controller and controlled via UART or PWM. The camera is equipped with both an HDMI and an analog video output for direct connection to a video transmitter. The analog output latency may be higher than with standard FPV cameras. Therefore, we do not recommend using the Runcam 6 as the main FPV camera for flying. Thanks to its slim profile, it is also appreciated by FPV plane pilots. When used outside of drones, the pre-record function is useful – when the button is pressed, the camera saves the last 15 seconds of footage. It also supports the time-lapse function. The camera features WiFi for easy configuration via the app.
