MicoAir MTF-02P is an external optical flow sensor combined with a laser rangefinder. The MicoAir MTF-02P is compatible with iNav, ArduPilot, and PX4 firmware. The sensor connects via UART using the Micolink (DIY), Mavlink (ArduPilot, PX4), or MSP (iNav) protocols. The protocol can be changed by bridging pads on the board.
The optical flow sensor is used to measure velocity via a downward-facing camera. The camera has a 42° field of view (FOV), and for proper operation, lighting of at least 60 Lux is required. Optical flow measures velocity starting from a height of 8 cm. The maximum measurable speed is 7 m/s at 1 meter altitude. The optical flow sensor enables advanced stabilization even without a GPS module, making it ideal for indoor environments. The integrated laser rangefinder measures distance in the range of 2 cm to 6 m. The sensor is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Configuration is recommended for experienced users.
