iFlight Nazgul DC5 is a frame designed for building a 5" freestyle drone. It features a deadcat geometry, where the front arms are positioned further back. This design ensures that the propellers are not visible in the camera view, which is particularly beneficial for cinematic flying. A key advantage of the frame is the inclusion of protective plastic covers that safeguard sensitive electronics from dirt and debris. Additionally, the frame includes a securely mounted XT60 connector and a GoPro mount.
For high durability, the arms are cut from 5mm-thick carbon fiber and feature soft TPU motor protectors. The camera is protected by aluminum side plates and mounted using rubber inserts to help dampen vibrations. The frame supports flight controller stacks with mounting hole patterns of 20x20mm and 30.5x30.5mm, with a height clearance of 22mm.
The Nazgul DC5 is compatible with both analog and digital video transmission systems, including HDZero, Walksnail Avatar, and DJI O3 (not compatible with DJI O4). The video transmitter is installed at the rear of the frame, with mounting holes available for 20x20mm, 25.5x25.5mm, and 30.5x30.5mm patterns, with a height clearance of 29mm. The motor mounting holes follow the 16mm M3 standard.
