The iFlight Commando 8 is a compact radio packed with features. The radio uses solid hall gimbals with interchangeable sticks. On the top we find four switches, two two-position and two three-position. The radio is powered by two integrated 18650 Liion batteries, so there is no need to buy them separately. On the bottom side we find the USB-C connector, which is used for charging the batteries. The firmware used is the well-known EdgeTX, which is controlled by two five-axis buttons. All necessary information is then displayed on the LCD screen.
The iFlight Commando 8's biggest advantage is the integrated ExpressLRS module in the 2.4GHz version with a maximum power of 500mW. ELRS is an open-source system that outperforms conventional RC systems in all respects. High refresh rates up to 1000Hz, long range, wifi, binding phrase and many other features are just a short list of what ELRS has to offer. And if the ELRS is not enough for you, the Commando can be expanded with a Nano shaft for external modules.
In the second version, the ELRS transmitter has a temperature-compensated crystal (TCXO) for proper ELRS module operation even with larger temperature fluctuations. Also added is ELRS Backpack support, improvements to the module cooling, and the use of a dual antenna (Antenna Diversity).
