AtomRC Penguin is a compact aircraft with a 750mm wingspan, suitable for medium-range flights. The aircraft is made from EPP material, reinforced with carbon. EPP is highly durable and can be easily repaired if damaged. The Penguin features a wingsuit-like design with controllable ailerons and an elevator, making it more stable than traditional flying wings. The vertical stabilizers snap into pre-installed plastic mounts. The motors are positioned on the wings, leaving the nose free for mounting an FPV camera. The nose section is interchangeable and supports both analog and digital video transmission. The wings are removable, making transportation easier. The leading edge of the wings is protected by a plastic cover for increased durability. The rear section features integrated LED lights for better orientation. The central fuselage provides space for the flight controller, RC receiver, and other electronics. The front section accommodates the battery. The recommended battery is a 4S 2000-3000mAh (200-300g).
The Penguin comes in an RTH version. The aircraft includes 2204 2400Kv motors, 30A BlHeli_S ESCs, servos, a flight controller, and a GPS module. This allows for quick assembly and flight preparation. An RC receiver and, optionally, FPV equipment needs to be added.
