MicoAir MTF-01P is an external optical flow sensor combined with a laser rangefinder. It is compatible with iNav, ArduPilot, and PX4 firmware. The sensor connects via UART using Micolink (DIY), Mavlink (ArduPilot, PX4), or MSP (iNav) protocols. It can also be connected to a PC via a USB converter and configured using the MicoAssistant application. The protocol can be changed through the app.
The optical flow sensor is used to measure velocity using a downward-facing camera. The camera has a 42° field of view (FOV), and proper operation requires lighting of at least 60 Lux. Optical flow measurements start from a height of 8 cm, with a maximum speed of 7 m/s at 1 meter altitude. The sensor enables advanced stabilization even without a GPS module, making it ideal for indoor use. The integrated laser rangefinder measures distances from 2 cm to 12 m. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Configuration is recommended for advanced users.
